Where did you stay, and what did you love about it?
Casa de Sierra Nevada - A Belmond Hotel, a super special, hidden luxury hotel, with deeply rooted character and charm. Constructed in buildings that are centuries-old, the property felt incredibly authentic to San Miguel and all that the city offers. The architecture is magnificent and the service is top-notch...I am already looking forward to my return!

What were some of your favorite things to do there?
The food and shopping scene in San Miguel completely exceeded our expectations. In terms of shopping, Casa R Concept Store & Recreo San Miguel both have very beautiful, unique pieces. Suki Palomina is worth a visit for a custom-hat making experience and you must stop by Xinú Perfumes for a new scent. Don't miss the markets and other local stores along the way - there are so many hidden gems!
The tequila tasting experience at Casa Dragones is not to be missed...this was such a highlight of our trip!
