Harbour Island Style & Travel Guide: What I Packed for Coral Sands + Must-Do Experiences, January 2025

Pink Sands Beach Harbour Island

When my husband and I decided to visit Harbour Island, I knew it was the perfect opportunity to showcase some of our new resort pieces. Known for its stunning pink sand beach, laid-back charm, and vibrant culture, the island provides a breathtaking backdrop for content. With recommendations from travel agent Julia Hugg, this trip was all about taking it slow and soaking up the island’s natural beauty.

Where We Stayed

We are so happy with our decision to stay at Coral Sands, a newly renovated property that feels fresh and effortlessly elegant. The beautifully designed bungalows, thoughtfully curated interiors, and serene beachfront setting made it the perfect place to stay.

Getting Around

On Harbour Island, golf carts are the primary mode of transportation for locals and visitors alike. Renting one is a must – it’s the easiest and most fun way to explore the island.

Dining Highlights

Dinners:

  • Pink Mermaid at Coral Sands – An easy favorite for the ambiance and fresh flavors

  • The Dunmore - Top notch service and beautiful setting

  • Malcolm 51 at Pink Sands - The lobster pasta dish here was my favorite meal on the island!

Lunch Spots:

  • The Dunmore – Perfect for a leisurely meal with ocean views.

  • Ms. V – For local flavors and an authentic island vibe. Get the conch fritters!

For a sunset cocktail, we loved the Rooster Tail Bar at Valentines Resort & Marina. And for an after-dinner drink, the Elbow Room became our go-to.

Shopping Finds

Harbour Island is a treasure trove of curated boutiques and unique finds. I spotted several Modatrova brands during our shopping adventures: Sunshine Tienda, Poolside and Mignonne Gavigan.

Favorite shops included:

  • A and A Hidden Treasures – Get your bags embroidered here for a personal touch. Make sure to stop by at least three days before you leave the island to allow for customization time!

  • Sugar Mill Trading Co. – India Hicks’ store is a must-visit, and you can pick up her husband’s Idle Assembly Rum at the local liquor store (cool bottle and makes a great souvenir)

  • The gift shops at Coral Sands and The Dunmore have beautiful and under-the-radar finds

Speaking of India Hicks, I became fascinated by her story and loved spotting her and her family golf carting by us one day.

Until next time, Harbour Island!
