We spent ten days in Bermuda this November (my first time on the island), and it was such a beautiful place to visit. We were based in Hamilton for work and rented a small cottage for the longer stay. If you’re looking to stay at a hotel in Hamilton, I'd highly recommend The Rosedon Hotel.
The Rosedon Hotel (Hamilton)
We didn’t stay here, but we visited several times for meals, and the property is very unique. It’s a boutique, family-run hotel with an inviting atmosphere, and the location is perfect if you want to be based in Hamilton.
Our favorite meals of the trip were at the Rosedon:
-
Clarabell’s (their wood-fired pizza restaurant)
-
Huckleberry for dinner
-
Huckleberry for brunch (Sunday brunch was amazing)
Hamilton Favorites
A few places in town we loved:
-
Miles Market: A gourmet market with everything you need (try the roasted turkey)
-
L’Artisan: European style coffee shop, and they make fresh bread and pastries
Highlights & Places We’d Go Back To
-
Horseshoe Bay, South Shore Walk, Jobson’s Cove: Start at Horseshoe Bay Beach and walk along the South Shore. You’ll pass a series of beautiful coves to stop and swim at, like Jobson's Cove. My favorite day of the trip!
-
PGA Tour Event: We happened to be there during the Butterfield Bermuda tournament. The Port Royal golf course views are stunning.
-
Cambridge Beaches Resort: We had lunch here and loved the old-Bermuda feel of the property. I think this is where I'd want to stay if we went back purely for vacation.
- St. George's & Tobacco Bay: A historic area and home to the Unfinished Church. You can walk from here to Tobacco Bay.
