Q&A With Cinthia Boni Cordiolo, Designer & creative director of campo collection
Tell us about yourself. Where are you from and where do you live now?
I was born in Sao Paulo, Brazil, and raised in NY. Currently living in Miami.
What did you do before starting Campo Collection?
I have worked in fashion since the age of 15 mostly in New York City. I worked for photographers, stylists, and design houses, most notably Marc Jacobs and Giorgio Armani. I am also a mother of 2 children and took a hiatus from working to raise them.
Tell us about your brand. When did you launch? Where are you based? Why did you start it?
I started the brand in March of 2019 and launched the first collection in April of 2020. I am based in Miami, as is production. My background has always been in high end fashion, and when I moved to Miami I wanted to start working full time again in the field. With a lack of job opportunities in the industry here, I decided to start my own line. I specifically chose sleepwear because it is something I personally love and wear everyday, and because there was a lack of options in the marketplace. I wanted to also create timeless products with a duality and to make the brand as sustainable as possible.
Can you walk us through your typical morning routine?
Wake up always with the intention to be thankful for another day. Get up early to get kids ready for school. Have a single espresso. Work out after morning drop-off, then have breakfast. Living in Miami, I am fortunate to work out outdoors most days. Work, calls, emails, etc until lunch.
Where is your next travel destination? Can you share your itinerary?
I am heading to Greece for my birthday with my husband of 15 years. We will be going to Mykonos and Santorini.
Favorite books, tv shows, movies and/or podcasts at the moment?
Books I am reading currently: anything to do with spirituality and life after death. TV shows: anything on Bravo, documentaries, love a suspense crime series. Never got into podcasts.
Congratulations on launching your latest collection! What was your inspiration? Favorite piece(s)?
The idea of the brand is for collections to build on themselves. I wanted to create more of what I had, simple pieces that can be worn day or night. I also wanted to add dreamy colors, grays and light blue. My favorite piece is anything in the new colors.
