Tell us about yourself. Where are you from and where do you live now?

Hi I'm Adriana! I'm a fun and creative mom of two children, Vera and Luca. Born in Santa Marta Colombia, a city by the sea with the most lovely nature, I love the sea, the sun, and the colors of the Caribbean sunsets. I currently lives in Barranquilla, Colombia where one of Mola Mola boutiques is located.

What did you do career wise before starting your brand?

I was a professional in audiovisual media with an emphasis in graphic design, and a specialization in fashion communication at IED Barcelona. Then I became the creator and founder of Mola Mola. 

Describe your brand. When did you launch? Where are you based? Why did you start it?

Mola Mola is a beachwear brand made to celebrate vibrant living. Inspired by the Caribbean’s high-spirited energy and optimistic colors, Mola Mola is the young family’s one-stop-shop for tropical, ethically-made piece.

Congratulations on launching your latest collection! What was your inspiration? Favorite piece(s)?

BOHO-MIA is a collection inspired by those dreamy, romantic women, capable of convincing the universe to be at their feet. Strong women who get everything they want with their senses. A woman who dares to mix colors, styles, fabrics, and accessories, with an organic and natural result but wild in character. Colors like blue, green, burgundy, yellow, brown, red and pink that set trends for Resort 2022. Original and exclusive prints of the brand that show that perfect combination, and where Mola Mola’s characteristic match makes the garments even more original. In this collection, Mola Mola brings new comfortable and trendy silhouettes, without leaving behind the brand’s best sellers. BOHO-MIA, is also a collection for the whole family. The brand continues to commit to sustainability, using fabrics developed with recycled PET bottles collected from the sea. 12 bottles create 1 meter of fabric, which we use to make our swimsuits.
