Tell us about yourself. Where are you from and where do you live now?
I'm Allegra and I'm 29 years old. I grew up in Geneva, but I have an Italian dad and a Swiss mom. I have an international background in the fields of hospitality and fashion / luxury.
What did you do career wise before starting your brand?
I started my real professional career in 208 in Milan where I worked for Burberry as a Wholesale Account Manager and followed my career with them in Paris. I was taking care of independent stores throughout SME and North Africa. I went back to Switzerland in 2020 and I started working for a luxury cosmetic brand, Valmont, as a Global Retail Coordinator and then as a Junior Product Manager. I quit my job in October 2021 to invest myself fully in LABISK.OT.
Describe your brand. When did you launch? Where are you based? Why did you start it?
I launched LABISK.OT in June 2021. LABISK.OT is a Swiss brand and it's based in Geneva. My experiences in European cities have strengthen my need to take time for myself and be aware of the environmental situation. Sport-enthusiast since my twenties, the desire to combine my well-being with the well-being of the environment came true on my return to Switzerland in February 2020. Not finding a brand of activewear that met my needs while living in Paris: performance, comfort, ecology and femininity ... LABISK.OT took its first breath in June 2021. A brand for urban and active women who care for themselves and care fo the environment.Congratulations on launching your latest collection! What was your inspiration? Favorite piece(s)?
My inspiration came from the Swiss nature and more particularly the mountains. I wanted a duality between urban/sophisticated and nature/femininity. My favorite piece is definitely the Geranium crop top in the flower print. This flower print is so personal and I love it, it's made from real hand-picked flowers that have been dried and assembled.
